Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan visited displaced families from San Kar Village, temporarily sheltered in Man Khein Ward, Area 11, due to recent conflict in Waingmaw Township.

During the visit, the Chief Minister encouraged the families and provided updates on efforts to support them, including building temporary homes, supplying food and essentials, and addressing their basic needs. He acknowledged the difficulties of being away from their original homes and assured continued assistance. A total of 50 homes were built for the families, costing over 122 million kyats, which was handed over to camp officials. Education, healthcare, and daily needs were discussed and coordinated with relevant departments.

Additionally, the Social Affairs Minister provided cash assistance for bamboo fencing and a reading room for the students at the camp. The Fire Services Department also donated local seasonal fruits. The Chief Minister also visited nearby temporary shelters built for government staff and locals under the Disaster Management Committee and coordinated the construction of gravel pathways between housing rows.
