









A ceremony to provide cash assistance for charity centers recognized by the Department of Social Welfare for 2022-2023 financial year in Kachin State and vulnerable groups from Sae Zin village in Phakant township was held at the Manaw Shwe Pyi Hall in Myitkyina on Monday.
At the ceremony, Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan said that the role of volunteer organizations is very important for regional development tasks in the State. The State provides assistance for the needs of charity centers with the aim to recognize and honour their establishment in wards and villages and also provide the needs of the children on the other hand.
Similarly, assistance would be provided for vulnerable groups such as pregnant women, children, elders and people with disabilities who live in IDP camps in Sae Zin village of Phakant Township.
Later, the State Chief Minister, the State Chief Justice, the State Minister, the State Advocate General and officials provided over 79.59 million kyats for the cost of rice, food and clothes of 23 charity centers recognized by the Department of Social Welfare and 5.7 million kyats for vulnerable groups of 23 pregnant women, 145 children aged under-5, and 13 elders aged 70 and above from Sae Zin village of Phakant township to officials respectively.
Likewise, the State Chief Minister attended a coordination meeting with members of the Supervisory Committee of the State level ground data collection and members of District/Township Supervisory Committee at the State Government Office.
At the meeting, the Chief Minister called for collecting the ground data in line with the instruction of the Central Committee within the target time and fulfilled the needs.
