Providing Agricultural Inputs: Yangon Region CM delivered the opening remarks

A ceremony to distribute agricultural inputs and equipment to farmers cultivating monsoon paddy was held at the General Administration Department’s meeting hall in Taikkyi Township, Yangon Region, in the morning on July 25.

The event, organized by the Yangon Region Government, included the provision of fertilizers, seeders, solar-powered water pumps, and reaping-threshing machines under the Country’s Economic Development Fund to support full-scale monsoon paddy cultivation in the region.

Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein delivered the opening remarks and, along with officials, handed over the agricultural inputs including reaping-threshing machines, fertilizers, seeders, a 14-panel solar-powered low-lift water pump, and a 2-panel (6-inch) solar-powered water pump to cooperative farmers in Taikkyi Township. A representative farmer expressed gratitude on behalf of the beneficiaries, after which the Chief Minister and officials warmly bid farewell to the farmers.

Following the ceremony, the Chief Minister and party inspected the displayed agricultural inputs, farming machinery, and solar equipment.
