



Starting from July 2022, 1-year visa exemption has been allowed for more Russian visitors to Myanmar.
To provide better services, the Russian language courses are being opened and conducted at the hotels and guest houses in Yangon, Mandalay and Pyin Oo Lwin. For boosting tourism sector between Russia and Myanmar, the governments and private sectors of the two countries will cooperate more, according to the official of Directorate of Hotels and Tourism.
Zeyar Myo Aung, DyDG, Directorate of Hotels and Tourism, said " Currently, there are a few Russian visitors to Myanmar because there is no Russia-Myanmar direct flight.Likewise, it needs to know widely tourist attraction places of Myanmar by Russian visitors. For that, we are implementing to promote tourism sector in Myanmar through digital marketing with the aim to know tourist destination places and to arrive more Russian visitors."
The Deputy Director General of Directorate of Hotels and Tourism added that implementations are underway to sign the G to G agreement between Myanmar and Russia for promoting tourism sector.
Zeyar Myo Aung, Dy DG, Directorate of Hotels and Tourism, said " It givesmore tourism information to public. So,about Russian language courses and information of tourism are posted on our website. It is very important to communicate with foreign visitors. That’s why, preparations are made for opening Russian language courses at Yangon, Mandalay and PyinOoLwin."
It has also a plan to participate in the Russia International Travel Fair 2023 that is annually held in March in Moscow. Myanmar Tourism Federation and private business sectors will showcase their booths at the travel fair in Russia.
