Production of Diesel: No.1 Oil Refinery (Thanlyin) inspected

Union Minister for Electric Power and for Energy U Thaung Han together with officials inspected No.1 Oil Refinery (Thanlyin) in Yangon Region on Sunday.

During the inspection, officials reported on the factory history, operation, maintenance of oil storage tanks,future plans, renovation of guest house and office buildings on which the Union Minister gave instructions.

The Union Minister and party then inspected renovation of office buildings and oil refinery machine and called for renovating and operating of the factory as much as possible, more production of diesel in local, inviting to investors who want to study in the factory and collaboration with the relevant ministries for crude vessels to be berthed at the factory port, security measures and fire safety.

The Union Minister and party then looked into completed renovation of factory and storage tanks, filling disel and lubricant for distribution and storage of raw materials. He stressed the needs on distribution of Mono-grade diesel and lubricant as quick as possible and efforts for production of multi-grade level. The Union Minister then visited ancient Portugese Churh in the factory compound and called for preservation of the church for long term durability.
