Presidents Castillo and Bolsonaro engage in talks

Peruvian President Pedro Castillo concluded a visit to Brazil Thursday, where he engaged in trade and security talks with Brazil President Jair Boslonaro. Bolsonaro said they were set to discuss "sensitive issues" in which both countries could obtain gains.

After previous criticism of the election of Pedro Castillo as president of Peru, Bolsonaro said political differences had been overcome. Castillo is facing political trouble at home, and is seeking to shore up his country's economy by expanding ties with the giant Brazilian economy next door.
