Preparations Underway: Meeting for 75th Anniversary of Independence Day

The Organizing Committee on the 75th Anniversary of Independence Day celebration held their 1st meeting on Wednesday afternoon at the Ministry of Information.

Chairman of the Committee Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn highlighted the guidance by the Prime Minister which is to make the celebration the grandest national-level event in the country. Other honor programs are being planned before the Diamond Jubilee Independence Day celebration.

He urged the attendees to work based on the experience gained from the Diamond Jubilee Union Day celebration. Also, Vice Chairman of the Committee member of the Nay Pyi Taw Council U Tin Oo Lwin explained the 6 tasks and preparations for the successful celebration of the Diamond Jubilee Independence Day, current actions and plans.

Secretary of the Committee Deputy Minister U Ye Tint also explained work committees under the Central Committee on organizing the Diamond Jubilee Independence Day celebration and their duties. This meeting continued with discussions on matters including security, transportation, healthcare, students’ illustration of letters, vehicles decoration and preparations at the grand military review parade ground.
