Preparations for SEA Games: Training underway for rowing and canoeing

The Myanmar Rowing and canoeing federation is giving training to canoe rowers who will compete in the upcoming SEA Games to gain achievement. The 32nd South East Asian Games will be hosted by Cambodia from May 5 to 17, 2023.

Coach, Myanmar Rowing & Canoeing Federation, Thein Win said "After we competed in the 14th Asian Dragon Boat Championship held in Pattaya of Thailand, from 16 to 22 November, we realized that we needed more training. This time, We will try our best to win at least two gold prizes for our country. "

Rower, Myat Min Htun said "We’ve been training hard for the upcoming SEA games – we will try our best. We do running at 6:45 AM, stretching and pushing up for a while. Then, we practice rowing. We’ve now gained our previous record. If we try, we will gain success."

Regarding canoe events, the upcoming SEA Games includes Men 10-oar event, U 24 men 10-oar event, U 24 mix 10-oar event and U 24 men 5-oar event. In Myanmar, 35 men and 25 women have been undergoing training.
