



To ensure a free and fair multi-party democratic election, Kayah State is introducing the Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine (MEVM) for faster and easier voting.
On Friday, a public awareness and trial voting session using MEVMs was held at Namtkhut Branch High School in Loikaw. Kayah State Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin and officials attended to observe and support the event.
Election commission staff explained the use of MEVMs while assisting the participants in testing the machines. Around 350 local residents participated in the program which will continue in other townships and villages across the state.
