Preparations for Election : Ensuring systematic operation process for voters

Chairman of Union Election Commission U Than Soe inspected the opening and operation of polling stations in the Union Territory for the 2025 multi-party democracy general election.

Accompanied by commission members and election officials, he visited polling stations in Pobbathiri, Pyinmana, and Zabuthiri Townships. Polling station staff explained the preparations made to ensure the smooth conduct of voting.

He instructed officials to ensure convenient arrangement for the voters, and systematic operation of the Myanmar Electronic Voting Machines (MEVMs) in line with rules and procedures, along with the contingency plans. He also emphasized the need for full preparations and coordination to ensure a successful election.
