Preparation Measures: Nay Pyi Taw GTI Ready for Reopening

Preparations are underway at the Government Technical Institute in ZabuThiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw Council Area in order to be ready once it was reopened.

The Government Technical Institute (Nay Pyi Taw) was established in 2018-2019 fiscal year. It was opened in December of 2019-2020 academic year. The institute was established to increase learning opportunity for local people, and to provide necessary skills for better job opportunities.

Principal, Government Technical Institute (Nay Pyi Taw), Dr MinnMinnHtun said “Five major subjects are being provided at the Government Technical Institute in Nay Pyi Taw. We are getting ready for reopening of the institute in line with the guidelines for COVID-19 prevention. We accept 40 students for each subject, and altogether 200. At present, we have 190 students.”

Plans are underway to add three more subjects in additional to the five major subjects of Civil Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Information Technology Engineering.
