Preliminary Match: Myanmar wins AFC Women’s Champions League

Myanmar’s I.S.P.E FC Women’s Football Team secured a victory against the Philippines' Stallion Laguna FC in the Preliminary Stage of the AFC Women’s Champions League (AWCL) 2025/26, held at the Thuwunna Training Ground in Yangon on Sunday.

After trailing 0-1 in the first half, I.S.P.E FC made a comeback in the second half, scoring three goals and finishing the match with a 3-1 win. With this result, the team has successfully advanced to the Group Stage of the tournament.

Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and Deputy Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Zin Min Htet enjoyed the match to cheer on the team. Following the match, the Chief Minister presented cash awards to the I.S.P.E FC players in recognition of their performance.
