PhuQuy Island Aims to Achieve Plastic-Free Status

PhúQuýDistrict in Viet Nam is urging transportation and tourism businesses as well as tourists to collaborate in preventing the introduction of plastic waste to the island. This initiative aims to support sustainable tourism development while preserving the environment.

The objective is for all passengers traveling by train and by canoe to the islands to refuse single-use plastic bottles, bags, and other plastic products. Additionally, visitors are requested not to bring plastic waste to the island. A launch ceremony for the anti-plastic waste movement will take place on March 1st on PhúQuýIsland.
