Performing Good Deeds : Reciting New Year Parittas and offering day meal

A ceremony on reciting New Year Parittas and offering day meal was held at Yangon Region Hluttaw on Friday. The congregation led by Chief Minister U Aung Naing Thu received Five Precepts from the Member of the Yangon Region Sangha Nayaka Committee Patron Sayadaw of Zetawun Parahita Monastery.

The Chief Minster and wife, Hluttaw Speaker and Deputy Speaker, Regional Government members and their wives and Hluttaw Representatives donated offertories to the Sayadaw and members of the Sangha. The Sayadaw later administered the sermon and the congregation shared the merits gained. Then, the day meal was offered to the Sayadaw and members of the Sangha.
