




For organizing 23rd Myanmar Traditional Performing Arts Competition 2022, the first coordination of the competition organizing working committee was held at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture, Nay Pyi Taw on 12 May.
Speaking at the meeting, the Chairman of working committee Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Ko Ko said that Myanmar Traditional Performing Arts Competition was held from 1993 to 2016.
As of 2017, the competition was suspended by the ruling government at that time. Now, the State Administration Council has granted permission to organize the competition.
The Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister gave guidelines regarding with organizing 23rd Myanmar Traditional Performing Arts Competition.
The venues of the competition will be MICC-2, National Library (Nay Pyi Taw), National Museum (Nay Pyi Taw), Yin-Kyay-Hmu Yadana Hall of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture, practicing theater hall, open-air theater of Nay Pyi Taw City Hall and the competition will be held in October during the Thadingyut holidays.
Next, the committee vice chairman deputy minister Dr. Moe Zaw Tun clarified regarding the arrangements for the competition.
Then, the members of sub committees and judge members clarified the sectoral preparations and the participants from the regions and states took part in the discussion through video conferencing system.
Afterward, the union minister conducted reviewed discussion on the clarifications. The Mon traditional dance will be added this year completion, it’s reported.
