










The 26th Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts (Central Level) Competition for the year 2025 is being held bustlingly from the morning on October 8 at the designated locations in Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory.
“Maha Gita” singing competitions for basic education level female aged 15-20 and basic education level male (aged 10 to 15) were held in Mini Theatre of National Museum (Nay Pyi Taw) on October 7. Kar la paw tay (temporary music song)” singing competitions for higher education level female aged and basic education level male aged (15-20) were held in Wunzin Min Yarzar Hall of National Library (Nay Pyi Taw).
The dance competitions for basic education level female aged (15-20) and basic education level aged (10-15) female were held in Hsin-Pyhu-Shin Hall. The donmin or plucked zither playing competition for the higher education level male, basic education level (male/female) aged 10-15 and the basic education level (male/female) aged 15-20 were held at Yinkyayhmu Yadana Hall of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture.
The violin competition for the basic education level male aged 15-20, higher education level male/female were held in the training theatre of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture. Myanmar orchestra individual competition for basic education level (male) aged 15-20 and basic education level (female) were held in Pubbathiri Hall.
The Union-level officials, Union Ministers and responsible officials from the Ministries and Organizations attended the competitions as second day at the designated locations. In the Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts competitions, the traditional dances of the states and regions are used to compete by drawing the lots annually. This year, the contestants will compete the Dewei traditional Yan Dance in the third day of the competition,.
