Peace Talks: Government’s Team, RCSS Hold 2nd Day Discussion

The Peace Talks Team of the government and the peace delegation led by chairman of the Restoration Council of Shan State (RCSS) held the 2nd day discussion on Wednesday in Nay Pyi Taw.

The meeting at the National Unity and Peacemaking Center was attended by member of the State Administration Council (SAC) and Chairman of the National Solidarity and Peace Negotiation Committee (NSPNC) Union Minister at the Government Office Lt-Gen YarPyae, SAC Member Lt-Gen Moe MyintTun, NSPNC Secretary Lt-Gen Min Naung, Chairman of the RCSS General YawdSerk, Secretary (1) Sao SaiNginand Central Executive Committee member Sao Saung Han .

In this 2nd day discussion, member of the NSPNC Lt-Gen Win Bo Shein explained the studies on the agreements of Part I, II and III of the Union Accord in order to check whether they conform with the existing laws of the 2008 Constitution. Attendees also discussed and negotiated their points of view and adjourned the 2nd day discussion. 

The 3rd day discussion is set to take place on the 1st of September.
