Tatmadaw has fully regained control of Falam Town in Chin State, previously under temporary control of CDF armed groups. The town and surrounding areas had been under insurgent influence since May 2025, during which clashes displaced residents and disrupted local administration.

The Tatmadaw carried out coordinated operations from nearby towns, systematically clearing insurgent-held positions and restoring government authority. Repair works will be carried out for key infrastructure, including schools, hospitals, offices, and religious sites, while allowing residents to safely return to their homes. Security forces plan to continue counter-terrorism operations to eliminate remaining threats. The government continues to invite armed ethnic organizations to participate in peaceful political dialogue to resolve conflicts.
