Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Vice Chairman of Peace and Solidarity Committee of the National Democratic Alliance Army – NDAA (Mongla) U San Pae at the Triangle Region Command on Sunday.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister expressed his pleasure in being able to meet with long-time allies once again. He stressed the importance of efforts to move forward in building a Union based on genuine, disciplined multi-party democracy and a federal system. He called for unity and harmony among all national brethren in the interest of the nation.
He added that the government is implementing the tasks for benefit of the country and its people. He emphasized the need to work together on education and health in line with government policy, alongside ongoing efforts for development and peace.
He highlighted the importance of producing educated human resources for regional and national development, ensuring the enrolment of all school-aged children, and opening basic education schools. He also underlined the need to implement a federal education system, promote learning of the official language and literature, and support further studies at local universities.
Additionally, he pledged to provide necessary assistance for the development of rubber-based industries and fish breeding, as well as for improving transportation and healthcare services. The NDAA Vice Chairman expressed gratitude for the meeting with the Prime Minister and dignitaries, as well as for the message of condolences sent on the passing of the former NDAA (Mongla) Chairman.
He also expressed heartfelt sympathy for the loss of lives and properties caused by the severe Mandalay earthquake. In response, the NDAA has contributed to the quake-affected communities with the support of entrepreneurs and the people from Special Region (4). He reaffirmed the long-standing position of NDAA (Mongla), which has been upheld for over 30 years—adhering to the Three Main National Causes: the non-disintegration of the Union, the non-disintegration of national solidarity, and the perpetuation of sovereignty.
He also requested assistance in the transportation, education, and health sectors, and assured that no armed or political groups would be allowed in the region. He pledged to cooperate in efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region and the state. The Prime Minister and the NDAA Vice Chairman also exchanged views on the peace process, as well as the development of education, health, and regional progress.
