Paying Visit to Yangon: Novosibirsk Region delegation visited Yangon

The delegation led by Mr. Andrey Aleksandrovich Travnikov, Governor of the Novosibirsk Region of the Russian Federation, who are currently in Myanmar, departed from Nay Pyi Taw on a Tatmadaw special flight in the morning on November 5 and arrived in Yangon.

Subsequently, the Governor and his delegation met with Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein at the meeting hall of the Yangon Region Government Office. They discussed matters related to regional development progress and investment, and exchanged commemorative gifts.

Furthermore, at the Mingala Hall of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) office, they met with the Chairman of UMFCCI, U Aye Win, the General Secretary, and Executive Committee members, and discussed economic and investment-related matters.

Afterwards, the delegation visited and paid respectful homage to the Shwedagon Pagoda and observed the religious buildings on the Shwedagon Pagoda platform. In the afternoon, the delegation led by the Governor of Novosibirsk Region departed from Yangon by air.

They were seen off at Yangon International Airport by the Yangon Region Chief Minister, Region Ministers, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Myanmar, officials from the Department of Archaeology and National Museum under the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture, and ethnic men and women, who waved miniature flags of Myanmar and Russia. Before departure from Yangon International Airport, the Yangon Region Chief Minister presented the Governor of the Novosibirsk Region with a commemorative album of photographs from his visit to Myanmar, it’s reported.
