Panda Cubs Greet Visitors Ahead Of New Year

Thirteen giant panda cubs born in 2022 met the public Thursday in Chengdu, the capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province, to greet their fans before the New Year and give the people of the country the best wishes. According to reports, the Base has successfully bred 15 giant pandas this year. This time, 13 giant panda babies participated in the New Year's Day celebration, including 6 giant pandas in the Sun Room.

At present, the number of giant pandas in captivity has grown to 237. The annual average growth rate of the captive giant panda population has increased to 12.2% through the continuous introduction and training of talents, scientific and technological breakthrough and achievement transformation, which has contributed to the sustainable development of the giant panda population.
