A panda baby born on the eve of China's 70th National Day has been fittingly named "Guoqing", which literally translates to "national celebration" in honor of the occasion. Panda mother from the Safari Park in south China's Province gave birth at 13:50 on September 30. Guoqing's gender so far remains a mystery though as the panda mother is very protective of the newborn, always cradling the tiny cub in her arms. Zookeepers are comfortable leaving the newborn with its mother for now, however, as the panda mother's parenting skills are proven.
