Fourteen new laws, one ordinance made public

On Wednesday, the Office of the State President of Viet Nam announced the State President’s Order promulgating 14 laws and one ordinance passed by the National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee.

Also in the list are the Law on Protection of State Secrets and the Law on Oversight Activities of the National Assembly and People’s Councils, both of which will take effect on March 1, 2026. Meanwhile, the Law on Public Employees, the Law amending and supplementing several provisions of the Law on Defence and Security Industry and Industrial Mobilisation, and the Law on the State of Emergency, will come into force on July 1, 2026.
