Peru governor demands answers after train crash kills one, injures 40

A head-on collision between two trains on the line that services Peru's Machu Picchu killed one person and injured at least 40 others. The deceased was the conductor of one of the two trains, according to the prosecutor's office in Cusco.

Officials said they were working to identify the injured train passengers. The regional governor of Cusco has called for clear answers following the incident that happened on the main line that services Machu Picchu. The governor stated the incident as a disorder, chaos in the management of tourism.
