





The Union Minister for Labour, Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing gave openings remarks at the event of handing over National Scrutiny cards and family household lists for the residents of Myintkyina and Waimaw Townships implemented under the Pan Khin Project held at Myitkyina City Hall on July 2.
The Union Minister said the ministry drew the Pan Khin Project and implements it to issue the relevant identity cards for the national races and naturalized citizens in line with the guidelines gave by the Chairman of the State Administration Council. Although it’s the responsibility of the ministry, the process will be achieved with the cooperation of relevant departments and the local people. The government will carry out expenses for the cost of photographing for the identity cards and blood type examination for the people. The cooperation of all is invited as the process is carried out in line with the standard law and procedures. Myanmar citizens who have received a national scrutiny card can enjoy the full rights of citizens, need to be loyal to the country and carry on the dutiful responsibilities of a citizen.
Next, the chairman of Kachin State Administration Council U Khet Htein Nan clarified the implementations of the Pan Khin Project in Kachin State and the tasks carried out in Myintkyina and Wai Maw Townships.
Then, the Union Minister, KSAC Chairman and officials handed over 105 copies of family household lists and 4363 national scrutiny cards to the local people.
The local residents and towns-elders accepted them and one of the residents extended words of thanks on behalf of the local people.
Later, the union minister met with the chairman and members of the Kachin State Administration Council and officials at the Malikha hall of the council office and held a coordination meeting to implement the Pan Khin Project successfully.
Last, the Chairman of Kachin State Administration Council U Khet Htein Nan and responsible officials explained the status of implementing the Pan Khin Project, issuing family household lists and national scrutiny cards and the future work plans and the requirements in the process.
In the afternoon, the Union Minister met with the state, district and township level officials responsible for labour, immigration and population and staff members at the Malikha hall of Kachin State Administration Council Office.
The Union Minister explained the five future programs and nine objectives laid down by the state administration, gave necessary work guidelines, coordinated requirements upon the reports of the officials and presented gifts and healthcare assistant materials.
In the evening, the Head Officer responsible for immigration and population reported the implementation of the Pan Khin Project in Kachin State, arrangements made for the public awareness, the status of implementation left in some parts of the state due to the limitation of the regional situation, future work plans and requirements needed to be fulfilled.
