The National Defence and Security Council has issued Ordinance 1/2026 on Thursday, extending the State of Emergency in townships that included in the Ordinance 1/2025, issued on July 31, 2025.
The Ordinance will remain effective for 90 days starting January 29. The order was signed by Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Acting President.
