Order Of Amnesty: SAC Issued Order No (186) On Amnesty

The State Administration Council issued an Order No (186) on Amnesty for the prisoners signed by the SAC chairman Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, dated October 18, 2021. It stated that the State Administration Council is carrying out for the stability and peace of the country and implementing the genuine democracy by laying down the five point Road Map.

The defendants involved in the protests and unrests under the incitements of political extremists and terrorist groups of CRPH and NUG. 

The chairman of the State Administration Council will drop the offences and release 1316 prisoners from jails, prisons and camps prioritizing peace for the people on humanitarian ground, in line with the sub-section (1) of Section (401) of the Criminal Procedural Law with the condition of the provisions of the that section “If the defendant commits the offence again, he will be prosecuted with the penalty of that offence combining with the suspended penalties.
