Opening of New Office Building: Shan State CM attended opening of new office building

The opening ceremony for the new RC (3-storey) building of the Shan State Budget Department was held in front of the office building, located in Kangyi Ward, Taunggyi-Hopong Road, Taunggyi on October 14.

First, the new RC (3-storey) building was officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony performed by Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung, the State High Court Chief Justice, the State Minister for Security and Border Affairs, the State Minister for Economic Affairs, and the State Director of the Budget Department.

Following that, Chief Minister U Aung Aung presented honorary cash awards to the No. (1) Basic Education High School Drum and Bugle band and Pom Pom dance troupe. Subsequently, the Chief Minister, State Ministers, the State Advocate General, the State Government Secretary, and responsible officials sprinkled scented water on the foundation stone inscription.

Afterwards, the second part of the ceremony was held in the office's training hall. Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung delivered a speech, and the Director of the Shan State Budget Department expressed words of thanks. Documents related to the new building were then handed over by a responsible official from the Special Building Unit (11) and received by the Director of the State Budget Department.

It is reported that the Chief Minister and the responsible officials then toured the new office building.

Following this, the Chief Minister and responsible officials proceeded to the Atula Marazein Hsu-Taung-Pyae Buddha in City Center Dhamma Hall in Taunggyi. There, they reverently paid homage and offered flowers, water, alms food, and golden robes. It is also learned that they offered the midday meal to the novice monk examinees from various Regions and States who will be taking the 24th Kambawza Sāmaṇe-Kyaw Examination.
