Opening of Micro Marathon: MGY CM started the race with ceremonial gunshot

To mark the International Youth Day on August 12, a micro marathon competition was held at the region sports stadium in the morning on August 11. Magway Region Chief Minister, U Tint Lwin, attended the event and started the race with a ceremonial gunshot.

After starting the race, Chief Minister U Tint Lwin and other officials watched the athletes compete. The Chief Minister and officials then presented awards to the winners of the micro marathon competition.

It was reported that the first, second, and third-place winners would receive their prizes during the official International Youth Day celebration and a youth awareness talk on August 12.

Following the race, Chief Minister U Tint Lwin, accompanied by Region Ministers and other officials, inspected local development projects and met with local farmers in Magway District.

The Chief Minister and officials first visited a road construction project in Magway Township. The project, overseen by the Road Department's Supervision Team, involves widening the Tawnyo (Pantin)-Myothit-Kanpyar (Magway) road from 18 to 24 feet and resurfacing it with asphalt. At a temporary briefing hall, the director of the Road Department and other officials explained the project details. The Chief Minister provided necessary instructions and then met with local farmers from the Kanpyar village tract. He inquired about their needs for regional development and worked with them to address their concerns.
