Opening of Inter-District Men Football : Sagaing Region CM delivered the opening address

The opening ceremony of the 2026 Sagaing Region Government Chief Minister’s Cup Inter-District U-18 Men’s Football Tournament was held in the morning of April 23 at the People’s Sports Ground in Monywa. Region Chief Minister U Ko Lay attended and delivered the opening remarks.

During the ceremony, the Chief Minister and attendees watched performances by the drum and bugle corps, pom-pom troupes, and fitness dance teams, after which the Chief Minister presented honorary cash awards to the performers.

Following the event, the Chief Minister and officials attended the 2026-2027 Fiscal Year Local Plan Objectives Assignment Ceremony held at the Region Government Office meeting hall. The Chief Minister delivered the opening speech.

Next, the Regional Head of the Department of Planning presented the objectives for the 2026-2027 Fiscal Year Local Plan via a PowerPoint presentation.

The Chief Minister then formally handed over the 2026-2027 Fiscal Year Local Plan objectives and responsibilities to regional-level departments and the Chairman of the Monywa District Management and Administration Committee.
