





The opening ceremony for the AI Technology Basic Applications Training Course was held on February 2 at the Ayeyarwady Hall of the Ministry of Border Affairs.
The course is designed to ensure that ministry staff are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to keep pace with modern technological systems. Union Minister for Border Affairs, Lieutenant General Yar Pyae, delivered the opening speech. In his opening speech, the Union Minister stated that in today’s digital era, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become an indispensable technology in daily life and professional work.
Utilizing AI in various fields offers significant advantages, such as saving time and allowing for the rapid, systematic collection and application of necessary data. The Ministry is already implementing digital-based border area development projects to a certain extent.
The Union Minister emphasized that staff must use AI to analyze and incorporate perspectives and concepts into their specific roles correctly and effectively. He urged everyone to continuously study and master evolving ICT technologies to contribute to the comprehensive development of the nation.
Following that, Director of the National Artificial Intelligence Development Project, Dr. Tin Phone Kyaw, provided an overview of essential AI knowledge and concepts. The Union Minister then presented honorary awards to the course instructors, and the event concluded with a group documentary photo session.
