Online Scam : Efforts to eradicate illegal gambling

The Myanmar government has destroyed 504 illegal buildings in the KK Park area that were used for online scam and gambling operations.

Confiscated equipment used in these crimes has also been systematically burned and destroyed. Security forces, administrative teams, and local authorities are working together to clear illegal buildings in KK Park and Shwe Kokko, where online scam activities were widely based.

On Friday, authorities demolished five more illegal buildings in KK Park. Out of a total 635 illegal buildings, 504 have now been destroyed. Some buildings were further burned to ensure complete destruction. The government stated that fighting online scam and gambling crimes is a national duty and pledged to prevent these crimes from operating anywhere in Myanmar.

Cooperation with neighboring countries will continue to fully eliminate such activities.
