One dead, three wounded after sword attack at Swedish high school

One person was killed and three others were injured on Friday, during a sword attack at Brinell High School in the central Swedish town of Fagersta. Police shot and detained the suspect, an 18-year-old former student who was wearing a helmet and carrying a sword.

Investigators are reviewing a TikTok account linked to the suspect that posted a photo of a sword in a school restroom 20 minutes before the attack. Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson issued a statement lamenting the horrific violence occurring right as children returned from their summer break.
