
The Officer Candidate (Special) Training Course No. 16 opened at Yadana Hall of the Civil Service Academy (Upper Myanmar) on Monday.
Chairman of the Union Civil Service Board (UCSB) U Tin Maung Win attended the opening ceremony and made a speech, stressing the need for civil servants to comply with the Civil Service Law and rules, and to develop skills in procedures, administration, and public affairs management, along with knowledge of governance, leadership, and socio-economic conditions.
He highlighted the role of civil servants in supporting the government’s efforts to strengthen a multi-party democratic system, build a federal union, and improve socio-economic conditions. He urged trainees to understand state policies and strictly follow civil service ethics and regulations.
After the opening ceremony, the UCSB Chairman met with officials of the Civil Service Academy and heard reports on preparations and course arrangements.
The chairman instructed that curricula align with government policies and the 100-day plan and called for training that produces competent and disciplined civil servants. He also met staff, inspected training facilities, and reviewed welfare arrangements, including gardens and livestock farms.
A total of 153 trainees attended 16-week long Officer Candidate (Special) Training Course No. 16 which aims to train officers who will serve as gazette officials in the state’s administrative machinery, equipping them to carry out duties effectively and serve the public interest.
