The ceremony for weaving and offering the 36th Mathoe-Thingan or Non-Stale Robe to the Mahamuni Buddha Image in Mandalay was held in the morning on the full moon day of Tazaungmone, on November 4.

Before the ceremony began, at the break of dawn, the Yay-Taw Sayadaw and the Mahamuni Veyyavacca စ Team performed the face-washing ritual for the sacred Mahamuni Buddha Image with fragrant water, opening the radiance of the Buddha. They then offered alms food, flowers, and water.

Subsequently, the hand-woven towels, Mathoe-Thingan or Non-Stale Robe, and the robe worn in lower Body part, which were completed within a single day, were presented and draped on the sacred Mahamuni Buddha Image. This offering was led by the Yay-Taw Sayadaw, with Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung, the Commander of the Central Command, other regional government ministers, their wives, and officials participating.

Following this, the Region Chief Minister, the Commander, and responsible officials presented cash awards and certificates of honor to the groups of weavers from villages such as Yaegyipauk  and Ohntaw , from the Inle Lake region, and other weaving artisans, the nine-loom weaver artisans and machine-sewing artisan group, as well as the Mahamuni Veyyavacca စ Team.
