Nutrition Program : School Meal Programs in Yangon

Union Minister for Health Professor Dr. Thet Khaing Win, together with officials, visited Hlaing, Dagon, and Mayangone townships in Yangon Region to observe school nutrition programs being carried out under the cooperation of the Ministries of Health and Education.

During his visit, the Union Minister encouraged staff and students, noting that the program helps children become healthier and develop good eating habits that can also influence families and communities. He also viewed mini health education exhibits organized by students at the school’s health booth.

The school meal program, implemented since the 2024–2025 academic year, aims to provide nutritious food to schoolchildren, helping them stay healthy, strong, and improve their learning ability.
