No (1) Still Mill: Meeting on resuming project works of no (1) Still Mill held

The first phase of No (1) Still Mill (Myingyan) which has been suspended over four years is to manufacture steel blocks and steel sheets that are essential raw materials for Steel Rolling Mill and Steel Plate Mill.

As the construction works have been completed at 100%, the manufacturing works were carried out, said, the Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than at the coordination meeting on resuming project works of No (1) Still Mill (Myingyan) as soon as possible held via Video Conferencing System on Friday.

The Union Minister added that the challenges will be face without fail in the implementation of construction works.
The challenges should be expected and plans to overcome should be prepared.

For the completion of construction works in timely manner in the order of prioritizing sectors based on the allowance of finance, the arrangements to be carried out by the sub factories and detailed plans should be drawn.

The exerted efforts should be put for the Still Mill construction works to be successful as the iron and steel are essential for the development of construction works, industries, micro, small and medium enterprises.

Then, the deputy minister, managing director of No (1) Heavy Industries Enterprise reported the works left to be done in the construction of No (1) Still Mill (Myingyan) and work plans to be continued and the participants in the meeting discussed the challenges to be faced in the implementation of the project and solutions for them and the union minister gave a concluding speech.
