







Newly constructed asphalt and concrete paving road on Ganaing Lake Street and Ganaing KanThaYar lake circular road in Kyaung Gyi Su ward of Taunggyi Township were commission into service on Friday.
Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung, accompanied by concerned officials, attended the opening ceremony of the roads. For the convenience of the locals and students, 1,210 feet long asphalt paving Ganaing Lake Street which connects Bogyoke Street and western city ring road to easily provide transportation access in education, health and trading sector of the town. Ensuring the safety of the people, asphalt paving works on 680 feet long road section from Bogyoke Street to Ganing KanTharYar No.1 entry was constructed with over 253 million kyats budget allotment from Shan State government and landscaping processes worth over 591 million kyats from MPPC Company.
The Chief Minister and officials then cut the ceremonial ribbon to open the roads and presented cash rewards to the performance troupe from No. 1 Basic Education High School and Ethnic Literature and Cultural Association.
The Chief Minister and party later inspected the new roads and Ganaing Lake, heard reports on cleaning and greening process of the Lake by the officials, presented certificate of honour to the State Development Committee and Ecocare Co., Ltd. Subsequently, the Chief Minister provided cash reward to performance troupe from No. 2 Basic Education High School and toured around the lake.
