


The Ayeyarwady Region Chief Minister U Tin Maung Win and region ministers attended the opening ceremony of NyaungKoneChaungPhyar-ThayetKone New Concrete Road constructed by the department of rural road development in EinMe Township, MyaungMya District; Ayeyarwady Region held in commemorating the 74th Anniversary of Independence Day and opened the new road at 7 a.m. on January 3.
At the ceremony, the Chief Minister said that the opening ceremonies of roads and bridges for the regional development in different regions commemorating the 74th anniversary of Independence Day. By opening this new concrete road, the social, economic, health and the flow of goods will be facilitated for the local people.
Next, the director of the department of rural road development of Ayeyarwady Region U Lin Htaik clarified the construction of the road.
The NyaungKoneChaungPhyar-ThayetKone road is 12 miles and 5 furlongs long and relied on it by over 13000 populations of 2696 houses from 28 villages.
It was a gravel road and upgraded as concrete road for four furlongs in 2019-2020 fiscal year, for one mile in 2020-2021 fiscal year and it will be upgraded for two miles in 2021-2022. The road upgrading works for remaining 10 miles and 5 furlongs will be continued.
Then, the Chief Minister U Tin Maung Win, region ministers and officials opened the road by cutting the ceremonial ribbon and the director of the department of rural road development U Lin Htaik presented gifts commemorating the opening of the road and the officials concerned accepted.
