New Firefighting Drone Debut in Shanghai

There are many high-rise buildings in downtown Shanghai, so high-rise fire extinguishing and personnel rescue work have always been the problem.

In a recent fire drill in Shanghai, a new type of firefighting drone with long working hours made its debut. Cooperating with robot, the drone demonstrated how to deal with high-rise fires through integration between the ground and the air.

The fire drill was held in an office on the seventh floor of a high-rise building, simulating the rescue due to a fire caused by an electrical short circuit. Aiming at the problems of high-rise building firefighting, the Fire Department in Xuhui District tried to use new equipment such as drones to complement traditional firefighting forces to reduce losses.
