New Facility : New hostel hands over in Mandalay

A ceremony for completion and handover of the one storey Hostel at the Training School for Women and Children under the Department of Social Welfare of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettelment was held in Mandalay on December 20.

The facility was donated by the Indian government under Mekong-Ganga Project. During the ceremony, Chief Minister of Mandalay Region U Myo Aung, Deputy Minister Dr. Than Soe  and Indian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr. Abhay Thakur formally inaugurated the ceremony.

Subsequently, the Deputy Minister and the Ambassador gave the opening speeches. Following this, the  Deputy Minister visited the Mandalay Youth Training School and viewed the health care services and status of vocational courses. Later, the Deputy Minister met with the staff and trainiees and instructed them to study vocational lessons efficiently, and to become qualified human resources for the benefit of the state and society.
