Naungcho Situation: Education and Healthcare Efforts for Locals

In Naungcho Township of northern Shan State, basic education schools, which had been closed for nearly a year due to terrorist insurgents, reopened on July 25th.

Students are now receiving education, and school enrolment is still ongoing. On the 29th of July, 1,110 students are happily attending classes at Basic Education High Schools No. (1) and No. (2). Enrolment for new students is continuing, and the Ministry of Education will continue to provide free textbooks, stationery, and school uniforms to enrolling students.

Additionally, doctors from the Tatmadaw, in collaboration with doctors and health staff from the Ministry of Health, have opened a temporary hospital at the Myanan Tawwin Mingalar Hall to provide convenient healthcare services.

On the 29th of July, 201 individuals received necessary healthcare services. Furthermore, to facilitate the timely reopening of the People’s Hospital, departmental staff have made preparations.
