Natural Resources Conservation: Protection and preservation of coastal resources

Tanintharyi Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko addressed the awareness talks on protection and preservation of coastal resources in the region on Friday.

In his address in Myeik Township, the Chief Minister stressed that as entrepreneurs, it is important to always take care and work to ensure that the natural resources in the sea are not damaged due to business. If a water and underwater natural resource is destroyed, it is impossible to replace it in a short period of time and it will take many years to return to its original state, the Chief Minister added.

The talks covered subjects including things to know about the nature, protection and conservation of living and non-living resources under the sea, coastal ecosystems protection, pearl production and fishery sector. After the talks, the Chief Minister presented certificates of honour and gifts to speakers and concerned officials.
