National Registration : Union Minister makes inspections in Ayeyawaddy Region

Union Minister for Immigration and PopulationU Myint Kyaingvisited the Myoma Basic Education High School in Kyonmange Township of Ayeyawaddy Region on September 9.

During the visit, he inspected the field operations being conducted under the "Lamin Project." He observed township health department staff carrying out blood type testing for students aged 10 and above who have not yet received National Registration Cards as well as the ongoing verification processes.

He also viewed staff from the Wakema Township Officer's Office carrying out the step-by-step procedures for issuing NRCs to students, as well as collecting biographic and biometric data using the e-ID system to issue Unique Identification numbers (UID) to students who already hold NRCs.

The Union Minister coordinated with officials to address operational needs. Following this, the Union Minister and officials personally handed over the NRCs and UID numbers completed within a single day under the Lamin Project to individual students.
