National Committee Meeting: NCPRSVC held its meeting (1/2026) held

The National Committee for the Prevention and Response to Sexual Violence in Conflict held its meeting (1/2026) at the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement on Monday.

The meeting was attended by the National Committee Chairman Union Minister Dr. Soe Win, committee members, Deputy Ministers, permanent secretaries, Directors-General, Chairman of Myanmar Women's Affairs Federation and departmental officials. In his opening remarks, the Union Minister stated that the meeting aimed to approve the draft implementation report for the second six months of the fourth term of the National Action Plan.

The approved report will be submitted to the Office of the National Defense and Security Council, and an English summary will be sent to the UN Special Representative on Sexual Violence in Conflict via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During this period, the Department of Information and Public Relations, the Department of General Administration, the Department of Social Welfare, and the Myanmar Women’s Affairs Federation conducted awareness activities in 45 districts across Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory, Regions and States.

The meeting also reviewed the implementation of decisions from the previous National Committee Meeting (2/2025) and Working Committee Meeting (1/2026), discussed the draft report for the second six months of the National Action Plan (2024–2025), gave suggestions on work implementation and approved the report.
