


Chairman of the State Administration Council, Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, held a virtual meeting with Chief of Defence Forces of the Royal Thai Armed Forces, General SongwitNoonpackdee, on Friday.
The discussion centered on fostering relations, friendship, and cooperation between the two countries, with a particular focus on collaboration between their respective armies. They also exchanged views on various security aspects, including border trade, combating drug trafficking, countering terrorist activities and illegal trade, and the exchange of information.
Additionally, they deliberated on efforts to ensure peace and stability in border areas, combat online games and frauds, especially in the border town of Myawaddy.
The discussion also included plans to promote cooperation for humanitarian assistance, prevent wildfire outbreaks in the trilateral borders of Myanmar, Laos, and Thailand, and address cross-border smoke pollution. They also explored opportunities for multi-sectoral cooperation between the governments and armies of both nations.
