Myanmar Team’s 2nd Win: Myanmar team defeated the Malaysian team with 3-0

The second match of Group B in the Women's Football competition of the 33rd Southeast Asian Games was held in the evening on December 8, at the TNSU Chonburi Stadium in Chonburi.

The match was watched and enthusiastically supported by a crowd of approximately 3,166 spectators, including the Myanmar Olympic Committee Chairman, Union Minister for the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, Jeng Phang Naw Taung, Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to Thailand U Zaw Zaw Soe, Defence Attaché Brigadier General Win Thu Lin and his wife, Deputy Minister for Information U Ye Tint, Yangon Region Minister for Social Affairs U Htay Aung, the leader of the Myanmar Sports Delegation and administrative team members, the President of the Myanmar Football Federation and officials, the President of the Myanmar Women's Sports Federation and officials.

In the second match of Group B in the Women's Football competition, the Myanmar team competed against the Malaysian team. In the first half of 45 minutes, both teams fiercely competed to score the opening goal. At 26 minutes and 39 seconds, Myanmar team player San San Thaw scored the opening goal. Later, at 35 minutes and 29 seconds, Myanmar team striker and forward May Htet Lu scored a second goal. The Malaysian team then fought hard to equalize while the Myanmar team strove to score more goals. After the initial 45 minutes, an additional 5 minutes of stoppage time was played. Continuing into the second half of 45 minutes, at 65 minutes and 4 seconds, Myanmar team captain, Win Theingi Tun, scored a third goal for Myanmar.

By the end of the match, the Myanmar team defeated the Malaysian team with a score of 3-0. It is reported that on December 11, at the Chonburi Stadium in Chonburi, the third match for the Myanmar Women's National Team in Group B of the Women's Football competition will be between Myanmar and Vietnam. On December 12, at the 700th Anniversary of Chiang Mai Stadium in Chiang Mai, the Myanmar Men's National Team will continue their Group C competition in the U-22 Men's Football tournament with their second group stage match against Indonesia.
