










The 80th Anniversary Ceremony of the Myanmar Fire Brigade, under the Ministry of Home Affairs' Fire Services Department, was held on the morning of May 5th in various regions and states.
The ceremonies were attended by the respective Chief Ministers of regions and states, regions and states Hluttaw Speakers, commanders or Deputy-Commanders of respective Regional Military Command, region and state government ministers, and responsible officials of the region and state Fire Services Departments.
First, the Chief Ministers of the regions and states delivered opening speeches commemorating Myanmar Fire Brigade Day.
Subsequently, the respective regional/state Chief Ministers and responsible officials presented commendation certificates and cash awards to those who received performance awards, outstanding model awards, excellence awards, model fire station awards, and social welfare associations that have provided effective assistance in firefighting operations. They also watched commemorative video documentaries for Fire Brigade Day.
Afterwards, the fire brigade members demonstrated modern firefighting capabilities and search and rescue skills, and the attendees observed demonstrations of search and rescue equipment, firefighting, fire safety, disaster prevention, public service activities, search and rescue operations, as well as activity record photos and equipment, it’s reported.
