Museum Upgrade: 2 New Galleries At National Museum (Nay Pyi Taw)

The National Museum (Nay Pyi Taw) has now been upgraded with two new galleries. Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U KoKo attended the opening ceremony of the two new galleries, Buddha statue-related art works museum and Presidents’ vehicles museum.
During the event, the Union Minister gave a speech, stressing that the Buddha statue-related art works museum showcases stages of change in the craftsmanship of Buddha statues that have been sculpted by Myanmar people since the Pyu era, and the Presidents’ vehicles gallery has vehicles used by presidents throughout the ages in Myanmar.
He urged the museum staff to establish a digital museum and have capacity building. After his speech, objectives of the museum upgrade and display system were explained. And, the Union Minister and concerned officials ceremonially opened and toured the new 2 galleries.
This ceremony also included a paper reading session regarding the royal betel chewing, number of visitors to the National Museum (Nay Pyi Taw) and services for the visitors.
