








Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice Senior General Soe Win on Wednesday attended the meeting with members of the Regional Government and officials from Districts and Townships to discuss the MSME businesses in Yangon Region.
Chief Minister U Soe Thein and officials reported on the implementation of industrial zones in the region, policy and guidelines for MSME businesses and implementation of MSMEs in the region as well as issuance of MSME member cards, loan disbursement, organizing workshops and educative seminars and establishment of industrial zone information system.
The Vice Senior General said MSME businesses account for 99% of nation economies in the developing countries like Myanmar and it stands a crucial role for the State’s GDP. He added that the government is providing necessary assistance for production, trading, inputs and human resources which are the foundation of MSME businesses.
He said the Prime Minister has designated Yangon City as the Economic Capital of the country, and it is needed to strive for development of the state economy. He called for cooperation of all concerned persons from different levels for achieving success.
In the afternoon, the Vice Senior General and party visited Fame Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Plant, OK Canned Foods and Instant Noodle Plant, Htoo Thit Fish/Prawn Feed Pellet Industry, ShweNgar Food Processing and Cold Storage Factory and Top Cashew Nut Factory in Hlaingthaya Township, and viewed the production and packaging processes of the factories.
